Message	resulting current is causing corrosion. Some have called this +12V an "always on" condition, but the circuit is intended to be open and the +12V cannot be a problem unless the circuit is somehow closed by a voltage leak. The intent with this re-wire is to provide a second break in the circuit so the possibility of a voltage leak is further limited. To my knowlege, no one has measured a voltage leak and confirmed that this is an actual problem, but the solution has been beat to death.
